Where the Sun Met Forever

This piece has been a long time coming. Travis and I had a beautiful celebration of our wedding last September 14th. It was a perfect day, sunny with a light breeze. When the sun first started to go down, my brother captured the photo that inspired this drawing. The light was so beautiful and I tried to do it justice in this piece. The grass around us looked like it was on fire in some parts. Everything glowed. It was a perfect representation of the bond two people can share. Fiery and warm. 

This piece was made with a watercolor pencil base, on toned tan paper. Colored pencils were layered on top, and then this border was made with white acrylic paint.
